James Cashiola joined the Comtel Telcom Assets team in conjunction with Sowood Capital Management. Mr. Cashiola led the due diligence team which formulated the bidding strategy leading to the successful purchase of the Vartec/Excel assets out of bankruptcy. Leveraging his diverse telecommunications and business background, Mr. Cashiola has been instrumental in directing the shift and consolidation to new technologies both within the network as well as the OSS infrastructure.
James Cashiola is founder and President of Simplified Development Corp, a infrastructure software company focused on creating technology that aids service providers in operating and offering their services while optimizing underlying cost elements. Mr. Cashiola has over 17 years experience in the telecommunications industry where he has done everything from being a reseller, wholesaler, hardware designer, and software architect. His recent projects include a co-development agreement with Dynegy to build out a wholesale voice trading business leveraging the Simplified technology. Mr. Cashiola was integral in building that business with Dynegy into a profitable entity within the 1st month of operation.
